The claim was driven by a third-party customer of the policyholder who was involved in several businesses and had aspirations to compete with Amazon. Unfortunately they had neither the cashflow or backing and ultimately went under. Our policyholder had Retention of Title and was looking to move on the stock in the customer’s warehouse which had not been paid for and reached out to Insurers to help facilitate this.

Insurers agreed to take action against the Director of the third-party as our Policyholder had a Directors guarantee.

While action was ongoing, Bellrock were able to support our Policyholder’s cash flow which was supplemented by a $500k insurance payout.

Outcome: A claim was submitted to Insurers who paid out the full 90% within 30 days of the Proof of Debt with the Policy also picking up most of the legal expenses under the expenses cover.

A tier-2 construction group abruptly entered voluntary administration, leaving our client exposed to $2.6m in unpaid debts. To make matters worse, a significant portion of the debt consisted of project variations, which insolvency administrators routinely reject or tie up in litigation for years.

Bellrock worked closely with the credit insurer, auditing the contract frameworks to substantiate the validity of the variations. We then contacted the former management who agreed all the variations were valid. We then leveraged the policy’s legal frameworks to force the administrator to accept the total debt in its entirety, bypassing any bureaucratic delays.

Outcome: Rather than facing years of uncertainty and pennies on the dollar, the insurer accepted the full $2.6 million validation. The claim was paid out in full within 30 days, completely safeguarding our client’s cash flow and protecting their market position.

When a national retail buyer collapsed into administration, our client moved quickly to invoke their Retention of Title (ROT) rights to reclaim their stock valued at $2.5M. In a hostile move, the appointed administrator attempted to block the ROT claim and sold our client’s goods without court consent.

Bellrock stepped in as the formal Proxy and coordinated directly with the insurer’s claims team. Recognising the administrator’s breach, the insurer helped fund legal action against the administrator to halt the liquidation of assets and enforce our client’s statutory rights.

Outcome: The aggressive legal strategy forced the administrator to back down. The litigation resulted in a 100% full payout of the $2.5M debt.

Our client had a long-standing relationship with a major distributor. The buyer had an impeccable payment record, always paid within terms, and was considered one of our client’s most secure revenue streams. Off the back of good trading history, the buyer placed a larger-than-normal seasonal order worth $480,000. Less than 20 days after the goods were delivered, the company went into liquidation unexpectedly.

Because our client had a limit in place under their Trade Credit policy, they didn’t have to panic or wait out the months of legal proceedings. We stepped in to manage the process, lodging a formal Proof of Debt and a subsequent claim file with the underwriter. We gathered the delivery dockets, invoices, and clean ledger history to satisfy the policy’s standard compliance checks seamlessly.

Outcome: The insurer approved the claim without delay. The policy paid out 90% of the outstanding debt ($432,000) directly into our client’s bank account. Instead of taking a catastrophic half-million-dollar hit to their annual profits, the client’s balance sheet remained entirely protected, allowing them to absorb the loss and continue business as usual.
